If it Was My Home- Visualizing the BP Oil Disaster

Click on the link to get some perspective of the scope of this disaster. If it were Vancouver and the lower mainland it would cover all that, the Fraser Valley, Southern Gulf and south end of Vancouver Island.

What a great way to bring it home, and make the point that this is not a far away, foreign land and insignificant. You make it personal. Thank you!

Well I do have an affection for New Orleans and have sailed through those waters and I think we all need help in just that.

Hi Tana! Hows the inlines going?

Thanks for that Tana What a terrible waste? all that destruction and death! Yes death! to our planet and the wild life and for what? so one of the Worlds eight families can gain more wealth :o(( what a sad shame for us all! why are companies allowed to drill in this manner when this sort of incident isn`t taken into account, all very well "shutting the door now the horse has bolted"rish assesments would have shown this up and Im sure they did but Greed takes over both industrial and political I`m afraid.

In-line skating isn't goin much at the moment.

The conspiracy theorists think that this was planned to bring in austerity measures and thus world wide government.

I do think that economist Gerald Celente is probably right in that a HUGE depression is coming - worse than in the 30's because at least back then there was a manufacturing base that helped the US recover. Well all that now is being done in China. It's gonna get really UGLY.

But I posted a video on crackbook about Oil booming 101. Have a look at it.

That's quite a powerful way of getting the message across. I do worry about what the state of the world will be when we hand it over to the likes of my boys. Hope you are well and happy, Fran x

Hey Tana - what a great link. Really brings home the size of it when it is centered on Kelowna. BTW - H2Oil is showing on Global TV on Wednesday if you have not already seen it.

Another BTW - when the big depression comes in-line skates will be a great way to get around because you will not be able to afford gas. So, keep on skating ;-)

Just spotted your site and noted and entry about Alibi Wahoo. I last saw this vessel in Gibsons in 2004. Pretty lines, but in very poor condition. Does anyone know where she is now. I look forward to any input you may have.

Cheers, Andrew

Hi Andrew,

The Alibi Wahoo sank I think around the end of last summer.
